Morad Kara

Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Director

Morad Kara oversees CGE's global strategy, partnerships, and project delivery. He leads the company’s integrated operatorship model, driving alignment across international ventures, technology deployment, and sustainability initiatives. Morad also oversees global partnerships, project execution, and strategic growth. He has been a Director, an industrial engineer, project manager, & serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in governmental contracts in the UK, UAE and Middle East.

Marathon Oil – with 20+ years in the field, Carey engineers operational frameworks, leads high-stakes interventions, and authored New Mexico’s State Plugging Policy Procedure for Marathon Oil. Carey aligns cost efficiency, environmental compliance, and standardized execution countrywide. He specializes in advanced completion systems & high-risk HP/H₂S/CO₂ environments.

John “PK” Kelley
Director of Global Security & Defense

A former U.S. Army 2nd Ranger Battalion veteran (three Afghanistan deployments) who leads Global and homeland security strategy, threat assessments, and large-scale operations planning for CGE & government clients. He leverages a deep network across JSOC/SOCOM/75th Ranger Regiment, SOFWERX, DoD/Intelligence/Homeland Security, and prime contractors to pair capability gaps with innovative tech.

Joe Cooley
Vice President

ConocoPhillips - Joe manages well interventions and completion programs end-to-end — frac design and stage execution, perforation strategy, flowback, artificial lift, integrity remediation, and P&A planning — while driving HSE, regulatory, AFE/budget, and vendor performance.

Chris Varga
Director of Geology / Chief Geologist

BP/Chevron – With a B.S. in geology and Masters in structural geology, Chris has directed EPC, managing multi-rig drilling ops, reservoir evaluation, pore-pressure surveillance, and M&A asset development for both conventional and unconventional plays.

Tony Sandomierski
Director of Petrophysics & Reservoir Modeling

ExxonMobile – With a B.S. in geology & Masters in advanced geology, Tony is a senior geologist and petrophysicist with historical lead roles in the Niger Delta, PetroVietnam blocks 117/119, and the North Caspian. He delivered reservoir evaluations, completion recommendations, and saturation-height functions for fields including Aktote, Kairan, and Tengiz. He built Bayesian Belief Network models for ExxonMobil Upstream Research to improve carbonate reservoir predictability.

James Glogowski
Chief Commodity Trader

Mr. Glogowski has directly overseen multi-billion-dollar crude and gas marketing books—most recently responsible for $7.1B in annual revenue at Apache, managing ~245,000 BPD of crude plus UK gas/LPG flows while leading midstream/marketing, scheduling, international, and hedging teams. Previously, he ran portfolios generating $2–$4.7B per year, executed 110–148k BPD of hedges, and drove measurable uplifts.

Marathon/Trophy Energy– Bill began his his career in 1986 as a field engineer in South Yemen. With over 30 years of industry experience & the founder of Trophy energy, Bill has led operations across premier U.S. basins—including the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, Permian, Bakken, and Scoop & Stack—as well as international projects, including field development work in Yemen. He holds a Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and a Chemistry degree from the Florida Institute of Technology. He has authored publications on flowback chemistry and completion strategies in the Eagle Ford, highlighting the expertise he brings to CGE.

Ryan Connor - Is a seasoned executive and Director of Infrastructure, with deep operational experience across manufacturing, logistics, and energy services. As the owner of Brazos Manufacturing & Ihose, Ryan oversees eight industrial facilities across the Gulf Coast and Southwest & over 200 employees.

Brazos Manufacturing & Welding Services, is a leading provider of custom oilfield fabrication, structural steel, and pipeline equipment solutions. In addition, Ryan plays a key leadership role at iHose, a strategic supplier of industrial hoses, fittings, and fluid-handling systems serving critical infrastructure and energy markets.

Mark Ramirez

Chief Technology Officer

Mark Ramirez - is the Chief Technology Officer of Compedia Global Energy, bringing 30 years of executive experience delivering transformational technology and services to Fortune 500 and global industrial enterprises. He has deployed and operated enterprise architectures for Global 500 companies and led billion-dollar outsourcing and modernization programs in asset-heavy, mission-critical environments.

Mark has held senior leadership roles including President of U.S. Operations at HCL–Perot Systems, Senior Executive at Accenture, Regional Vice President for Latin America at Hogan Systems, and Chief Technology Officer at TrinityRail—where the company became a leader in moving crude oil by rail and one of the largest steel hedges in the United States.

His expertise spans cloud, DevOps, IoT, advanced analytics, cybersecurity, and AI, with practical experience across financial services, manufacturing, telecom, transportation, and logistics. At Compedia Global Energy, Mark leverages this background to design and run the digital backbone of our oil operations—integrating data, infrastructure, and real-time analytics to improve reliability, risk management, and capital efficiency across our global energy portfolio.

Roger Ivey

Corporate Counsel and Strategy Officer

Roger Ivey brings over 30 years of leadership, operational, and legal experience. Attendee of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Pepperdine Law School, he served more than seven years in the U.S. Army, including as a Captain and Judge Advocate specializing in leadership, operations, and international law.

He later served as sole in-house counsel for UDR, Inc., an S&P 500 REIT, and as General Counsel across the real estate, transportation, healthcare, and IT sectors. A founder of multiple startups, Roger is a tested, operations-focused executive with deep strategic and legal expertise.
